What an exciting morning we had! Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this such a special day. This might be on TV closer to Thanksgiving Day, but right there is a link to the story and video on Newsnet5. I will let you know if I find out the day it will be on TV.

Maple Sugaring
On March 3 our class braved cold (but sunny!) temperatures to learn how maple sugar is tapped from special trees. We learned that this is only done in a very small part of the USA and Canada where the climate is perfect. Lucky for us, Ohio is part of this small region. We also learned that it takes approximately 40 gallons of sap to produce 1 gallon of maple syrup. We got to warm up at the end of our tour as we watched park volunteers boil water out of the sap that had been collected.

Valentine's Day
You can do many online activities to help you learn more about Valentine's Day and improve your English.
Manythings.org provides a list of Valentine's Day vocabulary and you can play several games.
ESOL Courses offers several interactive quizzes.
Marc Chagall College has a fantastic interactive book about Valentine's Day. The website is in French, but the book is in English. In order to use the book on a full screen, click on the French phrase under the book. This is amazing!
